Tune into 97.9 HD2 or www.onecaribbeanradio.com to learn more about the Breastfeeding Leadership Committee, the 3rd annual subway caravan, and the benefits of breastfeeding.
Mr. HD and Kathleen Carpenter of the Breastfeeding Leadership Committee are live in the studio now discussing the benefits and challenges associated with breastfeeding and its cultural implications.
The Subway Caravan will take place on August 6th 2010 and will start at Restoration Plaza on 1368 Fulton Street at 12 p.m.
In the Caribbean breastfeeding is a common practice even in public however, in the U.S. it is taboo and considered offensive when done publicly. The question isn't who's right but what is best for the baby?
Should women be worried about their image or their child's development and growth? You decide.
